We collect only the information needed to run Six Word Story, keep voting reasonably fair and display the work you choose to submit.

Information we collect
When you submit work, we store the six-word text, the name or pseudonym you provide, its genre, voting totals and the time of submission. When someone votes, we create a non-readable technical identifier from limited connection and browser information to reduce duplicate voting. We do not display that identifier.
How we use it
We use this information to publish and rank stories, operate voting, prevent obvious abuse, moderate content and maintain the site. We may also use aggregated, non-identifying statistics to understand which parts of the site people enjoy.
Sharing and service providers
Public stories, pseudonyms, genres and vote totals are visible to visitors. Site infrastructure providers may process technical data needed to deliver and protect the service. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and your choices
Published submissions and related voting records may be retained while the site operates. To request removal of a story or ask a privacy question, email hello@sixwordwonder.com with enough detail to identify the submission.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service develops. The date above will show when the wording last changed.
