Six-word writing is not only about stories and memoirs. Six words can celebrate someone, offer comfort, introduce you, caption a moment, start a conversation or express an idea with unusual clarity.

A story makes something happen or change. A memoir compresses a true experience. A message speaks directly to a person or occasion. A statement describes, claims or introduces. A caption accompanies an image. An exercise uses the six-word constraint to begin reflection or conversation.
